in Episodes

We kicked the episode off discussing a few recent TV related news items that included Katherine Heigl and Grey’s Anatomy, Conan O’Brien’s The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on TV Tour, Betty White hosting Saturday Night Live, ABC changing the dates of its two-part Castle episode with guest star Dana Delany, ABC renewing Brothers & Sisters, FOX renewing Fringe, and NBC announcing renewals for its entire Thursday night comedy block.

Then, we talked a little Primetime that included The Amazing Race S.16 Ep.3, Chuck S.3 Ep.9, Greek S.3 Ep.16, Lost S.6 Ep.7, and Psych S.4 Ep.16, the season finale episode.

Lastly, Jason updated his progress on watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel through for the first time. Mostly, he talked about his recent delays because of a few Netflix difficulties.

Dudes, way too much spent on Psych! I don’t watch but I listen to the comments you guys make so that maybe at some point I will watch but whoo! It sounded like a Mars/Venus kind of thing.

That Nexflix OD thing kinda pisses me off too. I cancelled my account this past year mostly because of too much great TV and because of Amazon and my need to hoard DVDs much like I hoard books and toilet paper. I will have plenty to read and watch after the apocalypse along with TP.

Can I say I am not loving Greek? I know it’s almost done but the Casey trying to project her perfectness onto Cappy when it’s the fact that he’s not perfect that made her love him…just bums me out. I love Rusty and whatsherface Kathryn? So very cute. I am sticking it out. As long as they don’t go all OTH on me I’ll finish out the series.

Don’t think you talked about anything else I watch! White Collar? Excellent. Now I can’t wait for July. Oh, Chuck. I like it but don’t LOVE it. You know I really wanted Hannah to die and spring Chuck into action. But I’m not a writer so meh. I don’t like that they have made Awesome kind of a pussy now that he knows how dangerous Chuck’s spy life is. And they had better fix this Casey thing pronto.

Please put Vampire Diaries and Supernatural on the list for when then come back. SO missed my Thursday night TV! And is anyone watching Caprica? Maybe a little block when it’s all over about the 1st (of many I hope) season?

Oh! And any info on shows coming this spring/summer? That’s more down the road probably. Comic Con? Jason? You going again? Let me know of anything you hear about all the crap filming in Dallas. I heard there are multiple pilots filming this next month so I am keeping my eyes pealed for famous people at the mall.

Super long comment so you guys have something to read!

Maybe it’s a guy thing, but I’m with Jason on the Psych debate–it never even crossed my mind that Juliet was upset at anything other than the life and death situation she was in. I never thought that it had anything to do with Shawn.
I had been trying to do the same as Jason and watch all of Buffy/Angel. Just have the final season of Angel to go, but I haven’t watched in a couple weeks. Sounds Jason’s Netflix issues have allowed me to not fall behind. :)

Are any of you watching Spartacus? I almost gave up after the 300-like first episode, but it has gotten much, much better–just have to look past the occasional awful special effects and fake buckets of blood.

Patty, The White Collar finale was really good. We haven’t talked about it cause Amrie got behind on it and has yet to catch-up. It was a lot about Psych, but the when the show is a favorite of all three of us that is going to happen, especially regarding a season finale. The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural will definitely return to the Primetime list when they return and we have some talk about Caprica coming up in Ep.63. Yes, I’m going to Comic Con again, as are Amrie and Rae.

Kyle, I have finished Buffy and am about to start in on the final season of Angel. As for Spartacus, I don’t think any of us are watching it. I did watch the first episode, but it just didn’t work for me.

Jason, any tips on how the average Joe can get into ComicCon? I checked the web site a long time ago and it was already sold out. I assume the 3 of you are able to get in with media passes.

Jason the TVaholic March 21, 2010 at 7:56 pm

Kyle, Your assumption would be correct. I think they will be putting out tickets as people have cancel, but that probably won’t happen until much closer to the event in July. Follow to keep up with their latest news. Comic Con keeps selling out faster and faster each year. I think it was pretty close to sold out back in November last year.

Jason, you have to comment after you watch the Angel ep “Smile Time” which is my all time favorite. Also, I was a big fan of the Buffy finale but I know lots hated it. Can’t wait to hear what you thought!
Yeah to TV Times Three at Comic Con! Since I will never get to go, it’s fun to hear what people I “know” think about the experience. You guys had better take tons of picks while you are standing around this year!

Patty, I really liked season seven of Buffy and will talk more about it and Angel on Ep.64.

Hey gang,

So i just listened to this episode, and I wanted to say I am one of the people that do end up listening to two episodes back to back LOL.

I LOVE the banter / discussion about ‘your lives’ that you guys do *cough* some more then others…

The Psych debate was awesome, but unfortunately I had to give that show up about two seasons ago, so I need to find the time and catch up so i can talk about it.

Jason, as someone who has never seen an episode of Buffy/ Angel, but likes the genera, would you suggest picking the series up?

@Ameri- Where is the West-Wing update???

Anyways I will try to comment more now then ever (and prove to Rae that there are actual fans of tvx3 out here 😛 )

Take care!

Johnathan, Yes, Buffy and Angel are both very much worth watching. Here is a great list of episodes that show crossovers, so you can watch the episodes in the proper order ( Also, Netflix will soon have most seasons of both shows available via the Instant Watch.
