Amrie and Rae are in LA for PaleyFest 2010 and decide to give a quick update on what they’ve seen. They briefly cover the Modern Family, Lost, and Community panels as well as the most recent episodes of each. They also talk a bit about attending a taping of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and hanging out with friends. Plus there’s chit-chat about the few primetime shows they’ve managed to catch this week such as Chuck, How I Met Your Mother, Greek, and The Middle.

TVx3 E060: Spring TV Preview 2010

We started off the episode with a few TV related news items: FX pushing their new comedy Louie to the summer, Kevin Eubanks soon to be leaving The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, The CW announcing pick-ups for five of their shows, The Vampire Diaries, 90210, Supernatural, Gossip Girl and America’s Next Top Model for next season, Kiefer Sutherland’s surgery not delaying the broadcast schedule of 24, FOX pulling Past Life from their schedule, FOX announcing the season finale dates for 24, Glee, House, Bones, Fringe, and American Idol, and William Shatner being cast as the dad in the potential new series Sh*t My Dad Says.

Next, we went through the Spring TV 2010 schedule and gave you premiere dates for the new and returning shows and then we discussed the ones we were most looking forward to, including ABC Family’s 10 Things I Hate About You, FOX’s Glee, FX’s Justified, HBO’s The Pacific, NBC’s Parenthood, TNT’s Saving Grace and many others.

Then, we talked a little Primetime that included The Amazing Race S.16 Ep.1, Life Unexpected S.1 Ep.5, Greek S.3 Ep.14, Lost S.6 Ep.4, and Psych S.4 Ep.13.

Lastly, Jason updated his progress on watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel through for the first time. Mostly, we talked about the “Once More, With Feeling” episode of Buffy S.6, which is the musical episode.

We started off the episode by discussing some TV related news items: ABC picking up another season of Shaq Vs. for summer, Alex O’Loughlin (Moonlight) and Daniel Day Kim (Lost) being officially cast in the Hawaii Five-O remake for CBS, the news that the fifth season of Friday Night Lights will be its last, Former SNLer Molly Shannon has been cast on FOX’s Glee, and The CW announce two new half hour reality shows.

Next, we talked a little Primetime that included Chuck S.3 Ep.7, Greek S.3 Ep.13, Lost S.6 Ep.3, Psych S.4 Ep.12, The Vampire Diaries S.1 Ep.11, 12, 13 & 14, and Supernatural S.5 Ep.14.

Lastly, Jason updated his progress on watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel through for the first time. Mostly, we talked about the fifth season of Buffy and “The Body” episode in particular.

We started off the episode by discussing some TV related news items: Syfy picking up the first two seasons of the BBC show Merlin, TNT moving up the airdate for the final season of Saving Grace, HBO picking up Big Love for a fifth season, ABC setting the date of the final two hours of Lost, ABC canceling Ugly Betty and giving Happy Town a premiere date, ABC Family announcing that Lincoln Heights won’t be back for a fifth season, and CBS having picked How I Met Your Mother for a sixth season, along with two more cycles of Survivor and at least one more of The Amazing Race.

TVx3 E055: Winter TV Preview 2010

To start things off on our first episode of 2010, we went talked a bit about what we did over our Christmas hiatus. Amrie has been watching The West Wing, Jason has been watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Rae has been playing with her Wii.

Next we went through a few recent TV related news stories like NBC’s Leno/Conan fiasco, FOX yanking Our Little Genius from the Winter 2010 lineup, CBS announcing a premiere date for Miami Medical, CBS moving Accidentally on Purpose and Rules of Engagement taking its place, ABC extending the season order of Cougar Town by a couple episodes, James Van Der Beek joing the cast of NBC’s Mercy, and Amrie’s excitement about some of the Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains casting news.

Then, it was time for the Winter TV preview. We went over what shows will be premiering and returning in late January and February 2010. We mentioned which ones we are excited for their return and which new shows look good. Find out what we thought of returning shows like TNT’s Leverage and new shows like The CW’s Life Unexpected, FOX’s Human Target and FX’s Archer

Lastly, we talked a little Primetime that included Rae winning the So You Think You Can Dance fantasy league, Make It or Break It S.1 Ep.11, and the last few episodes of Better Off Ted season two that have aired.

TVx3 E054: Fall 2009 Revisited: The Good, the Bad & the Turned Out Not to Be Ugly

To start things off for our last episode of 2009, we went over a few news items including CBS giving Parenthood a premiere date, Supernatural beginning to replay in syndication on TNT, as well as their renewal of Dark Blue for a second season, Syfy renewing Stargate Universe for a second season and Sanctuary for a third, the announcement that there won’t be a third season of HBO’s Flight of the Conchords, and FX giving The League a second season.

Next we hit on a couple of topics. First we talked about the things we liked, disliked and were surprised by during the Fall 2009 TV season. Then, we ran through a few shows and there return dates in early January, which doesn’t include House and Fringe returning with new episodes on Monday, January 11th, as that was announced after we recorded.

Next, we jumped into our Primetime Wrap-up segment and talked about The Amazing Race S.15 Ep.11, the season finale, How I Met Your Mother S.5 Ep.10 & 11, Better Off Ted S.2 Ep.1 & 2, So You Think You Can Dance S.6 Ep.21, Glee S.1 Ep.13, Dollhouse S.2 Ep.7 & 8, and Dexter S.4 Ep.12, the season finale.
