Do you have a favorite actor you’d like to see back on your TV? Well, that’s what listener Sam wanted to know. So, we set out to discuss those actors we haven’t seen much of recently, but would like too.

We started things off with some news about Bones, Chopping Block, In the Motherhood, Monk and Hulu.

Then after discussing this week’s topic, we moved on to our primetime wrap-up, where we talked about the Battlestar Galactica series finale, the last couple episodes of Dollhouse, The Amazing Race, Chuck, Lost, Life, The Office, and Party Down.

Next time we’ll talk about ratings. If you’ve got thoughts on the subject or have a topic suggestion for us, give our listener line a call at 213-985-3176, leave a comment below, or email us.

Hey guys,

I am a big fan of the podcast, I have listened to every episode but I haven’t had a chance to actually write in.

You guys have done an amazing job and have really improved since the early episodes, that is not to say the early episodes were bad, but you guys just feel more ‘comfortable’ i guess.

Anyways I would really like to hear your thoughts on ER’s final episode, and the news that TV’s longest running scripted drama Guiding Light has been canceled as well and what this means for television as a whole (I guess that is my subject suggestion lol).

I have only watched Guiding Light for a year, (well a little over a year off and on) and it is horrible that the show is getting canceled when the quality of the show has improved so much.

And on E.R. I am sad to see it go, I am watching the final episode live (as i type) but I am not ready to say goodbye to all the doctors and storylines, but all good things must come to a end i guess…

Anyways keep up the good work, and i look forward to the next Tvtimes3 🙂

Johnathon, I’m glad you enjoy the podcast, as we enjoy doing it. We will surely be talking about the ER finale on next week’s episode, as the topic will be the good and the bad of series finales.

As for Guiding Light, I’m not sure that any of us watch any daytime TV, so not sure what we could say about it. Like you said though, I guess “all good things come to an end.”

Hey! Sorry i didn’t see you replied lol.

Anyways what i was talking about was the impact that losing the worlds longest running scripted show has on Television, and with networks going for less and less scripted t.v. does the loss of the worlds longest running scripted show speed up the demise of scripted television. (In favor of more GAME shows and Reality TV Yay…-.-).

Anyways keep up the good work! I am almost finished listening to #23 but I had to stop because I am behind on LOST and didn’t want to be spoiled lol.

Ttyl!

Johnathon, I guess it could speed things up, if what it is replaced with is not another scripted show. But, if it is too expensive to make for how many people will watch and more people will watch the unscripted shows, even if they are crap, then you can’t really blame them.
